Expanding Horizons, Celebrating Creativity The Middle School provides opportunities for exploration of diverse learning opportunities whilst supporting children through the significant changes of pre-adolescence and early adolescence.
Middle School approaches are informed by Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory, although this approach is grounded in a Christian perspective on this theory. Students are encouraged to not only develop their identified strength areas of the multiple intelligences but also to take risks in operating in areas that are not considered strengths.
Middle School is a time of encouraging students to view the world from a Christian perspective as they experiment with making individual and group choices. They seek to understand the changes in themselves as well as their differences compared to others and learn to live in an environment that accepts and celebrates difference.
A foundation is laid for life long learning skills rather than relying on simple fact recall and data acquisition.
