Homestay program

One of the highlights of a visit to Ha'apai is the homestay program. Here students not only experience Tongan lifestyle and hospitality "close-up", but they have opportunity to make a contribution to the lives of their hosts by offering opportunities for development of conversational English.

Students are either hosted by a Tongan family in their home, where they may gain insights into the idea of extended family in Tongan society, or some girls may join with boarders at Taufa'ahau Pilolevu College in accommodation in the girls' dormitory.
